For those with alcohol and opioid addiction problems
Suboxone is a prescribed drug that contains buprenorphine and naloxone and is used to treat opiate use disorder. It works by inhibiting the body’s craving to use opiates and also minimizes withdrawal symptoms. Although suboxone requires close monitoring by a physician, one of the advantages of this treatment is that it can be managed on an outpatient basis. After a comprehensive evaluation, suboxone can be prescribed and picked up at your local pharmacy. Follow-up visits are required one or two times per month when the treatment begins and generally decreases to monthly appointments thereafter.

· The diagnosis is used to create a treatment plan for the patient that may also include psychotropic medications that the medical provider can prescribe.
